Year 10 Work Experience Week – 5th to 9th July 2021 – CANCELLED DUE TO COVID -19
We have taken the decision to cancel the traditional Year 10 work experience week for this academic year due to the ongoing COVID pandemic for both the student’s and employer’s safety. As well as the risk of transmission of the virus, many businesses are working remotely still and unable to accommodate a work placement. We are currently working on a virtual work experience offer for the summer term. We understand that a virtual offer may work well for some students as it gives insight and experience of national companies that they may not have had the chance to access previously. However, the virtual offer may not work for others so we highly encourage students to gain real work experience during the school holidays or weekends through voluntary work, placements or part-time employment, COVID restrictions permitting.
There are many companies offering virtual work experience and links can be found below which students can sign up and take part in.
