Being Mindful of Other Traffic and the Local Residents

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are committed to ensuring that all members of our school community can get to and from TCS as easily as possible without negatively impacting on our neighbours. Unfortunately, in recent weeks we have received a number of complaints from residents living in close proximity to the school (around Winterbourne Road and Exeter Street) who are experiencing difficulties regarding parking and have witnessed a number of cars turning in driveways and parking on double yellow lines.

We understand that many parents drop off or collect students from our school and, like us, will want to ensure their children’s safety. We also appreciate that our location, by the side of the main road, makes this difficult, but we do ask that parents help us to maintain positive relationships locally by also role-modelling the appropriate use of the highway. Accessible parking is located a short walk from the school, meaning that students could come and meet you at an agreed location if you need to drop or collect them by car. Together we can all help to keep our students safe, maintain appropriate access for emergency vehicles and respect the privacy of our local community.

Thank you for your continued efforts to be mindful of other traffic and the local residents who need to be able to get to and from their properties.
