TCS Year 11 Prom 2022 – Friday 24th June
Dear Parent/Guardian and Students,
The year 11 students have almost finished their GCSE journey at Teignmouth Community School. They have worked incredibly hard and with dedication, and have blossomed from children into young adults. It is therefore with great excitement that I send out this letter, as we have been able to book the year 11 Prom for the class of 2022.
To celebrate our journey together, we are delighted to announce our school Prom will be held at The Langstone Cliff Hotel on Friday 24th June 2022. The Prom is a formal occasion for Year 11 students from TCS and has always been a wonderful way to celebrate the end of five hard working years together and I hope your son or daughter will attend. This is always a fantastic event and this year will be no different.
The evening starts officially at 7pm with a red-carpet entrance, but students are more than welcome to start arriving from 6.30pm. If they want to arrive in style there is a sweeping driveway to show off their vehicles and a breathtaking backdrop of the bay with space to take plenty of photographs. Parents, family and carer’s are more than welcome to watch students arrive on the evening. Students will need to find transport home at 11.30pm when the evening ends.
Tickets for the event are £20 and are on sale via parent pay now! This includes a cold finger buffet with vegetarian option, Non- alcoholic cocktail on arrival. Students will have full access to a photo booth on the evening and all photos will be uploaded to a disk for them included in the price. We also have an excellent DJ who has provided music at the TCS prom for the past couple of years and is brilliant at filling the dance floor. It is a very special evening and I hope that all of Year 11 will attend.
The evening will be fully staffed by myself and the Year 11 team, along with lots of other members of staff. Obviously, all students are 16 and the evening is an alcohol- free night. If any students are caught bringing alcohol or other substances onto the premises they risk being sent home.
Mr Cowburn, Miss Ousley and some of our fantastic year 11 students, Ben Wetton, Josh Hunt, Ella Hodgson and Ethan Chamberlain are hard at work creating a bespoke online version of our yearbook available to purchase directly from the website. This includes messages from teachers that have worked closely with Year 11, glossy photographs from throughout the years at TCS and a space for the students to leave each other messages of good luck. They are a lovely reminder and keepsake of time at school. We will forward details of the website shortly.
